11th International Workshop on
Neutrino Factories, Superbeams and Beta Beams

July 20-25, 2009 — Illinois Institute of Technology — Chicago

1st Bulletin

March 31, 2009

Dear Colleagues,

I'm pleased to announce the Nufact09 Workshop (to be preceded by the International Neutrino Summer School at Fermilab, July 6 - 17, 2009).

This is the eleventh in the annual workshop series devoted to the future of accelerator facilities for long-baseline neutrino-oscillation experiments — a unique opportunity for theorists, experimentalists, and accelerator physicists to interact and advance the field. Plenary talks will survey where we are now and where the field is going. Also covered will be the additional neutrino and charged-lepton physics that can be done at a future high-intensity facility.

Parallel working groups will focus in detail on the following topics:
Working Group 1: Neutrino Oscillation Physics,
Working Group 2: Neutrino Scattering Physics,
Working Group 3: Accelerator Physics, and
Working Group 4: Muon Physics.

The first day will be at Fermilab and will afford the opportunity of touring Fermilab's neutrino experimental and R&D facilities. The remaining 4-1/2 days will be at Illinois Institute of Technology's Main Campus in Chicago.

(Early registration discount is available until May 1.)

With kind regards,

Daniel M. Kaplan
